Building Your Artist Website: Compatibility

Something that is commonly forgotten is making sure your website is compatible on all browsers. There are five to consider when checking for compatibility, and this is important, as you won’t know what browser your viewer is using. The five are Safari, Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera and Internet Explorer. If your site works well in Firefox, there’s a good change it will be fine in Safari and Chrome. Interenet Explorer is used by approximately 60% of Internet users, and is the most difficult browser to get your site to work smoothly. Some individuals feel it would be best to use a PC rather than a Mac when building your site as this will help to eliminate problems down the road. If you only have access to a Mac, it is still really important to check your website on different operating systems and browsers to make sure the website runs smoothly and looks like how you had wished.
